Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Ghosts & Ghouls!

I had the pleasure of hanging out with the munchkins tonight. Michelle took Natalie out for some trick or treating with her friend Dexter, while I hung back at the homestead, watched the twinnies and handed out candy. Last year in the Calgary house, we had more than 100 kids come to the door. Tonight, on the ring-road in Beaumont, we had a total of.....drum roll please... 19 kids. 19, I can't believe it! What happened to getting your kids dressed up for a night of fun running around town trying to see who can get the most candy by the end of the night? And then going home and dumping your pillow case onto the floor to sort it all out and trade for better things with your siblings/friends. I just don't understand it.

I am a huge holiday person, Birthdays, Valentines Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas. I love them all, I love decorating, and dressing up and spending those special days with the ones you care about. I know when I have kids I will definitely make as big of a deal of holidays for them as my parents did for us. I am so excited for Christmas to come; As my mother always said, Christmas is a season, not a day. BUT, one thing I can't stand are those people that put up their Christmas lights in October, and turn them on! There are 2 people in my condo complex that have theirs on tonight, twinkling icicle lights and all. I understand putting them up before the snowfalls when it isn't that cold. Just please do us all a favour, and wait until December 1 to turn them on!!

Anyways, enough of the venting, onto the pictures of the babes from tonight. Hope you all had a safe and Happy Halloween.

I also went for a walk with my friend Stephanie and her pooch Summit. Just a quick one tonight before I hop in my bed, so I will leave you with a shot I captured of Steph with her Summy Bear, more to follow.

Langley Trip

Good Evening Guys & Gals,

Well, this weekend sure was a busy one! I love love love my family, no lack of excitement when the gang all get together. So the weekend was dedicated to my Uncle Ray who celebrated his 50th birthday - Happy Birthday Uncle!! We flew in to the Abbotsford Airport Friday night at 7pm, went to the grandparents house for a visit, and then headed over to my Uncle Ray & Aunty Jo's house for a delicious meal (Thanks again Aunty!). An amazing supper was waiting for us in the oven, Baked ham, Scalloped potatoes, salad, & buns yummmy! Then we spent the rest of the night putting together "Goodie Bags" & posters for the big party.

Boys woke up at the crack of dawn to go sturgeon fishing on the river. My sister, cousin and I slept in & went shopping Saturday morning and my aunt joined us after awhile. We headed on over to Burnaby to the Lulu Lemon Outlet and went a little crazy. If I have a weakness, it's definitely Lulu. I absolutely LOVE me some Lulu Lemon...my expensive guilty pleasure :) Went home, got ready and headed on over to the hall for an awesome night of dancing, eating, and bonding with family. Big thanks to the band, March Hare, they were a huge factor in making the night such a success. Sunday we spent at Darby Reach on the river, we had a fire and a picnic. Then before I knew it, I was back at the airport waiting to fly back home.

Hope you all had a great weekend, here are some pics of my trip.

- Enjoy!

My Night with the Babes

So tonight I headed over to my brothers house for a night of babysitting. I took some pictures to document my stay with the 3 munchkins.

The night started with me walking into the door to see a smiling rhodes bouncing in his bouncer:

And Bella was chilling on the floor:

Natalie was being a sneaky girl trying to get a closer view of "Max & Ruby":

Then Daddy came home for some hugs:

Natalie loves her Elmo drawing book:

Bella went back to the blanket for more rolling time after some fun with aunty:

Snack time, Babybel Cheese mmm:

Some twin bonding time:

Rhodes was a bit tuckered after his bottle, what a handsome little dude:

Bella's turn in the bouncer:

Natalie headed out for a walk with her Grampy, decided to dress herself; this was the result:

Hendrix looking out the front window for mama and papa to come home. What a prince! :

Bath time didn't involve the camera as there are way too many splashes going on! Overall, all three of the rugrats behaved nicely. Just a few fusses from the twins here and there. After a couple diaper changes and 1 more bottle each for the twins, they were all set in their jams ready for mom and dad to come home and put them in bed. This is a glimpse of my night with my 3 favorite little people!
