Just a Peek Into My World Lately....

{Look at that Belly!}

A teensy peek at a little of what I've been doing the past week. Had a great time with baby Abby on Friday and an amazing shoot with the ever so gorgeous Sarah on Sunday. This week is moving week for me PLUS my internet has been down for the past 5 days - needless to say it's been a little nutso in my world lately (more so than usual!) Now I am running off to the new place to start cleaning and prepping for paint. Keep checking by as there will be more to come.

It's Friday (Finally)

Hey Gang, the weekend has arrived and boy did it ever take a long time to get here! I am super excited for work to be over, as I am headed over to do my first ever newborn photo session. This weekend is to be spent with friends, celebrating 50th birthdays, packing, cleaning, and taking pictures. Also, on Sunday I am going to Beaumont to do maternity pictures for Sarah - which I am so looking forward to as she's the cutest thing ever! Check out her little blog if you get a chance - it's pretty fun! The forecast looks beautiful for this weekend so that's an added bonus. Plus all the leaves have started to change colours which makes my heart swoon.

Another reason why I love this time of year is because of all of the shows that are starting up again. Generally I'm not a big TV watcher - but last year there were so many good shows on, I just had to watch them all. I got to the point where I couldn't start watching a new one because I like them all and NEED to finish a season if I've started it....There's too many shows to watch and not enough time to watch them - that's why I take advantage of my lunch hour at work and do some catching up while I eat.

Anyways I am off to have a productive afternoon. Wishing all of you a Happy Friday - and I'll try and get up a few shots of my shoot with baby Abby sometime this weekend.

Happy 1st Year Anniversary to Me

It’s my 1 year Blog-anniversary! That’s one small step for man and one giant pat on the back to Katie for sticking with this for a whole entire year. I love how I have a space of my own to share the little tid-bits of my crazy busy life. From my day-to-day routine stuff to pictures of the munchkins. It’s awesome being able to share this space with my family, friends, and whoever else pops in for a visit. When I first decided to blog I thought I would do a post every so often for the benefit of my family members who aren’t close to home, to be able to see the kids. Now, this little corner of the inter-webs has become an online journal for me where I post whatever I’m feeling. I hope that I use this to my advantage and keep with it. I do enjoy blogging and don’t find that I feel obligated to post at all which is nice, because as soon as this becomes a “chore” for me I think I will stop. Anyways, I just want to thank all of you that do stop by every so often to check up on me. It makes me feel good inside that someone’s listening! So I hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday and I look forward to spending the next year with you fine folk.

Currently - Sept 16th

Anticipating: My move Sept 30th. Moving is a pain in the butt - but it is a good thing so I keep reminding myself of this.

Listening to: The hum of the appliances in my dad's kitchen as I am in Calgary at the moment. Sometimes silence is needed!

Loving: The turning of all the leaves around the city. I absolutely LOVE fall and how beautiful it is. It is upon us!

Planning: Out my next couple of months I have ahead of me. My friends always laugh when they ask me to go out for coffee and I have to schedule them in at least two weeks in advance. I lead a busy lifestyle, always something on the go!

Reading: I started the Vampire Chronicles when I flew to Langley but I haven't picked it up since my trip - once again that is a time thing. There just isn't enough of it!

Watching: Wakebrothers on MTV. That show is hilarious!!

Wishing: My cough from a week ago would finally go away. I came down with something last week and it has left me with a rather annoying cough that I can't seem to rid myself of!

Working on: Editing, Packing, Planning - It's going to be a really busy next couple of weeks with my move coming ever so closer everyday!

And with that I am headed out to visit my friend Liz for a nice big ol' cup of tea down in Kensington. Happy Sunday!

A Walk at Hi-Knoll Park

Monday morning in Langley we went for a walk as a family around where my aunt and uncle live. I love going for walks and exploring, It's absolutely one of my favourite things to do. We took a path out through a big open field to the Eagle Nest that was in a massive tree. Unfortunately, the eagles were out hunting when we got there – but it was still pretty neat to see the nest. We wandered back through the field up into a little bit of forest. I cannot get over how awesome BC trees are. I am truly an Alberta tourist when I go visit BC, snapping picture of every second tree we passed. I have a deep rooted love for trees (see what I did there, deep rooted, he-he!). I love old crooked trees, big tall string bean trees, funky branch trees, moss covered trees, the list goes on and on. Weeping Willows are hands down my favourite trees ever. So needless to say - I really enjoyed our walk that day! Here are some snapshots of our adventure plus some of our Froyo date and dinner at my Nan & Nonno's house. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them J Happy Tuesday!

Sept Long Weekend in Langley

As I mentioned earlier, Amy and I headed west out to Langley for the Sept. long weekend. We flew in early on Saturday morning and didn't stop until we got back on the plane Monday night. Saturday was spent shopping out near Burnaby at the Lulu Lemon outlet and the Queenborough Landing Outlets, eating Froyo at Menchies, and dinner with our grandparents. That night my cousin Anthony brought Amy, Lauren and I with him to a buddies house where we had a few drinks and I enjoyed my first ever game of Beer-Pong! Sunday my uncle took us out on the Fraser River for the day sturgeon fishing and we enjoyed a nice rib dinner and a campfire afterwards. Monday we went to see my cousin Lauren at work and then we spent more time at our grandparents where we indulged in a big Italian dinner. I had an awesome weekend, it was definitely nice to switch up our weekends for a change by spending it on the west coast. I can't wait to go back for more fun with the fam :) Thanks again for having us Langley Zanussos! Love you guys!

Aunty & the Rugrats

Sunday Funday - the end of another busy weekend. Friday I went to the Eskimos vs Stampeders game with a few friends. I haven't been to a football game in forever and I had a blast. Saturday I was in a soccer tournament so I was up early and on the field. We ended up winning one game, tied one and lost the third. Saturday afternoon was Natalie's birthday party - there was a total of 10 kids under the age of 5 along with their parents and friends of Michelle's. It sure was a house full but it turned out great. Today was spent cleaning, running errands, editing photos and hanging out with my brother and the kidlets. I snapped these pics while I was watching the kiddos last week - a little out of focus, but still super cute! Have a good night :)

...That One Time I Saw a Bald Eagle

Birds freak me out. If you don't understand why I feel this way, then check out this dude's beady little eyes and razor sharp beak. Point Proven. Although, they are pretty amazing looking creatures, I can say that much!
